The Best Books I've Read in 2019 (so far)
If you're on the hunt for something new and interesting to read, you have plenty of places to turn. This week, we're looking at five of the best book recommendation sites, services, or groups, based on your nominations. Earlier in the week, we asked you where you went to find something good to read —whether it's based on the things you've already read, someone's suggestions you trust, a website that lets you build a virtual "shelf" of your favorite titles, or just a discussion group.

That app is Inky , built by two bookworm friends who wanted a better way to track their reading and find recommendations of what to read next. Both just graduated from college, and have decided to work on Inky full-time. You can check or uncheck these suggestions as you choose. So you may want to at least seed your network with a few of them. Once added, these are presented in a visual format, similar to how Slice Bookshelf looked back in the day before its untimely demise. The founders say their goal right now is to take in user feedback, then build what they hear people want.

BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS: Books I've read so far & books I want to read!
We highly recommend reading this one by the beach or pool—with a cocktail in hand. At the heart of this thriller is a husband and wife who are bored in their year marriage. Instead of sending each other flirty text messages, role playing, or planning a dream vacation together, Millicent and her husband engage in murder to keep their marriage alive and kicking. Book lovers will absolutely relate to the central character in Abbi Waxman's third novel. Nina Hill is an only child who works in a bookstore.
Finding a book to follow up your new favorite read can be a struggle. How can your heart ever make room for more characters outside of Narnia? Well, reading books that are similar to the ones you love definitely helps. Goodreads is also immensely helpful in generating suggestions. After signing up, you can create personal bookshelves and then view recommendations in response to what you place on each bookshelf. There are just too many good books.
