Two goats story in tamil
A Horse and Two Goats: Stories by R.K. NarayanThis was an interesteing short story which can be analyzed on many aspects. The cultural clash is dominant. The American seems a bit snobbish with his fancy clothes and ignorant attitude, a stereotype of an American. He thinks he can buy everything for money, which in a way is quite funny.
The Indian though is quite sad. Hes a sterotype as well, old, poor and uneducated, but full of wisdom and spirutuality.
We can also see the clash between materialism and spirutualism. Where the Amercian only thinks about buying the horse and the Indian caring about his community, about ledgends and wellfare.
The whole narrative can be seen as a metaphor for when the white man colonised India, not caring about the consequenses for the domestic people
The Two Goats
Narayan, way of life and language differed between Muni and the Red Man but they got along well and their conversation creates a lot of humour. Narayan has depicted in his story how the cultural and linguistic difference between two men can create a humorous situation. The red-faced man was driving a station wagon. It stopped near where Muni was sitting under the clay-horse. He took the stranger to be a policeman or a soldier by his khaki dress and wanted to run away, but could not. He was afraid that the man might chase or shoot him if he ran. How do you do?

Narayan we have the theme of confusion, tradition, culture, identity, arrogance and conflict. Narrated in the third person by an unnamed narrator the reader realises after reading the story that Narayan may be exploring the theme of confusion. Muni is speaking in Tamil while the American is speaking in English. At no stage of the story is there a sense that either man understands the actions or wishes of the other. On the one occasion that the American begins to pet the goats Muni considers that the conversation he has had with the American is about the American buying his goats. It is also noticeable that the American does not really have an interest in the history or tradition that comes with the horse. Rather he appears to wish to purchase the horse as a trophy for his own pleasure.
Would you dare trip trap across a bridge guarded by a hungry troll? The story could be used to prompt children to weigh up different outcomes and possibilities: why did the first two billy goats tell the troll to wait for their brother? What would have happened if the last billy goat had not been so brave? What else could they have tried? One of the more subtle stories in this collection, 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff' can also be used to discuss whether folktales always have moral messages.
By Grimm Brothers Once upon a time there lived an old mother goat in a pretty little cottage on the edge of the forest. She had seven little billy goats, and she loved them all dearly. On occasion she would have to leave the cottage to get food for herself and her kids, and today was one of those occasions. She called all her kids together to give them a little lecture on safety. If he comes here and sees you out and about he will surely gobble you all up, all of you, your skin, your ears, your teeth, your guts, everything. I think that wily old wolf must have been hiding behind a tree and watching the old mother goat, because only a few minutes later there was a loud knock on the door. So the wolf went away, and thought about how he could disguise his voice.
